Junichi Inamoto will miss Wednesday's must-win game against Beijing Guoan with a groin strain picked up against Vissel Kobe.
The injury is also likely to keep him out of the home game against Shonan Bellmare at the weekend.
In other news, Frontale have snapped up defender Yuki Saneto from Kochi University. The 21-year-old, who has represented Japan at university level, will join the squad next season.
